Fun fact: Magnavox, a consumer electronics company, released the first home video game console, the Magnavox Odyssey, in 1972. The console came with a set of cards that players could use to change the game's graphics, making it one of the earliest examples of a console with interchangeable cartridges. Despite being released several years before the more famous Atari 2600, the Magnavox Odyssey did not achieve the same level of success and was eventually discontinued in the late 1970s.
